Fabbri Marendry

Today, Marendry, Fabbri’s historic bitter liqueur, is once again at the service of bartenders who love authenticity. With its bright red colour and unique aroma, Marendry offers new "Dolce Vita" experiences when added to classic drinks or mixed into new, original cocktails.

What gives Marendry its distinctive fragrance and rounded flavour is, of course, Amarena Fabbri. With no artificial colouring or flavours, Marendry is produced to the traditional recipe from the family’s distillery - The secret of the 3 Cs.

It combines the discreet, rounded sweetness of Amarena Fabbri with the delicate fragrance and aromatic notes of Mediterranean citrus fruits, like Chiretta, a bitter plant from the Gentianaceae family that is used as a tonic in bitter liqueurs and pharmaceutical mixtures, and Chinotto, an ancient and salutary species of Rutaceae fruit that is particularly common in Liguria, as well as in Tuscany, Sicily and Calabria.

The third “C” in the Marendry recipe is Chinino, or Quinine, an extract from the bark of the cinchona tree that aids digestion and has both depurative and antioxidant properties.

TASTING NOTES

The fresh, velvety flavour of Amarena Fabbri dances with the intense fragrances of Mediterranean citrus fruits and traditional Ligurian chinotto to carry the palate and mind back to the sensations of a time that has never been forgotten.
